Our town is going to Direct Deposit.  We are currently paid every 2 weeks (26 times a year).  Our pay period runs from Sun through Sat of the next week. Example: Jan. 6th to Jan. 19th. We are now paid every other Wed of the month.  Could you please send me how your locality is paid if you are paid 26 times a year.

Thanks

Cindy Balderson

Town Clerk
Town of Kilmarnock

We are also paid 26 times a year. Pay is on Friday, the pay period ended the Friday prior. So every Friday, the pay period either ends or we get paid. Please note, my auditor prefers us to withhold VRS and other insurances only 24 times/year, so two paychecks would go without withholdings. You might want to check with your auditor.

Mecklenburg County pays 24 payrolls a year. The pay period is the 15 and 30 of each month if the date is on the weekend or a holiday, we pay the business before. Our payrolls are based on 86.67 hours.

We are paid 26 times a year on the Friday following the end of the pay period, the previous Saturday.

The employees of the City of WInchester are paid 26 times a year through direct deposit on the Friday following the end of the pay period. During the few months a year that there are 3 paychecks, we do not deduct certain items that last paycheck as well.

The City of Roanoke has 26 pay periods. Our pay periods run Tuesday through the 2nd Monday following (ex. January 8 through January 21 - paid on January 30). A pay information file is transferred to the City of Roanoke's bank on Monday prior to the Wednesday payday. This file contains the disbursement information and our bank deposits the money to the employee accounts (even if it is with a different banking institution). If an employee account is closed, the money is returned to the City of Roanoke and a manual check is issued.

A pre-note file is sent to the City's bank when a new employee is hired or a current employee makes a change to their direct deposit so that our bank can check for problems prior to receiving money. If there is a problem, the City is notified so that corrections can be made prior to money being deposited on the employee’s behalf.

Sussex County's pay days are the 16th and the last working day of the month. If the 16th calls on a weekend, we get paid on the week day before.
