Water Billing in Small Towns 12/09/2011
_ I would like to know from small Towns who have their own water billing, if any of them prorate? And if they prorate, does their software calculate it for them or do they have to determine how much they are going to prorate? Thanks! Kim Bowrin Town Clerk Town of Remington Comments12/09/2011 7:27am
The Town of Kilmarnock bills on a bimonthly basis, and we do not prorate our utility bills.

Town of Montross does prorate water bills but our software does it for us.

Our rate schedule is based on the number of gallons used, we don’t use proration. (Front Royal)

Town of Timberville bills every two months. We do prorate if they do not use the minimum amount of gallons. We figure them by hand and enter the amount into the computer.
