Recently we had several seats on our BZA become vacant at the same time. I had never been thru the process of getting new members appointed and it was quite the experience. Of course, there were no formal policies or procedures to follow, other than “staff just handled it.” With that being said, I would like to know if any jurisdictions have outlined procedures for the process of filling vacancies on your Boards and Commissions. Any information (or advice) is welcomed and appreciated.
