The Town of Colonial Beach is upgrading its recording system for Town Council minutes. From previous blog posts, I see that a lot of jurisdictions use For the Record. I have begun researching their software, but as we are a small locality, I would ask the smaller localities, in particular, to let me know how you record meetings. I appreciate your time. For example, when we have a public hearing, in our advertisement we state if a citizen is in need of an interpreter, signing and so forth to contact us five days prior to the meeting. However, do you have any special equipment that you have available for the hearing impaired on a regular basis? Thanks for all the responses…could you send me the name brands on the equipment you use for your hearing impaired device? Erica City of Harrisonburg My Council has two regular meetings and two work sessions each month in the evenings. They are considering reducing the number of meetings to one regular Council Meeting and one work session. Have any other jurisdictions done this? If your jurisdiction only holds one regular meeting a month, do you begin early in the evening, schedule public hearings at a certain time, etc.? Thanks everyone!
