I am trying to replace an old Dell keyboard that will be compatible with toggling between the main computer I use for work and the CPU we use for On the Record using the Scroll Lock key.  I have tried two new wireless keyboard and neither one worked.   Does anyone have any suggestions for a new, quieter keyboard that will work for both computers?

Good morning everyone!

At the last few Council Meetings we have had some citizens complain that other citizens present are recording the meeting and they felt it was common courtesy to inform everyone present that they were recording.  Have any of you had this same problem?

Do you allow citizens to record meetings? And if you do, do you request that they inform all present that they are doing so?

Thank you in advance for any help.

If your jurisdiction records and webcasts meetings, do you do the same for worksessions?

We are considering strengthening our rules regarding public comments and would appreciate any feedback, especially regarding the following:

1) Do you allow citizens to defer their minutes to another person?

2) If so, do you have a maximum number of minutes allowed per individual?

3) Do you allow a Council member to address Council during a public hearing or public comment period?

4) Do you limit the amount of time as a whole for public comments during the regular Council/Board meetings?

5) At what point in the regular meeting is the public comment period – at the beginning, at the end?

6) Do you limit the public comments to items on the agenda only or can citizens speak about anything?

7) Do you limit the number of speakers on a given topic during a public comment period?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much!

I would like to know how you receive/accrue vacation time.  For instance, do you receive two or three weeks on the first day of the new fiscal year, or do you have to earn it on a monthly basis?

I would like to hear from as many localities as possible. It appears that there may be some changes coming to our office that are not popular with our employees and were wondering how other towns and counties handle vacation accrual.

Thanks in advance to all those who respond! It is most appreciated.

What is the difference between a resolution and a proclamation? How does your locality use each?

Thank you.

Our office is in the process of developing an integrated information system/centralized library type environment to enhance the flow between departments to decrease the many paper files we now maintain.  Have any of you developed something similar?

Please respond to me and not the entire group.  If anyone is interested, I will be happy to share any responses I receive.

Thanks again –

Does anyone use a form in their Board packet that acts as a standard memo from the County Administrator to the Board of Supervisors?
